Cambodia, especially Siem Reap, is now a major tourist destination. Many people wish to learn about the history of Cambodia and the Khmer culture and civilization. Those that come here will learn that this is a rich civilization which built many beautiful temples which have survived the passage of time to be enjoyed by the Cambodia has over 1080 temples.   They are located in every province of the ancient Kingdom of Kampuchea. The Angkor’s complex alone covers a land area of approximately 402 square kilometers.   These temples were built between the 9th and 13th century. French archeologists restored many of the temples between 1933 and 1969. Many of the temples were not restored and it is very interesting to see the way nature has combined with human efforts. While your friends can talk or read about these interesting sights in magazines and other media, seeing is believing. Now is the time to see , touch and smell the sights before they become overcrowded and limits are placed on the number of visiting tourists.
